You have access to a lot of sensitive data. Please take password security seriously. Creating and using good and unique passwords is essential to IATP’s cybersecurity. These are especially important for accounts where we’ve used the IATP credit card, bank account or employees’ social security numbers.
Make it stand out
Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
Don’t reuse passwords. Every account should have a unique password.
Create passwords that are at least 18 characters in length and use upper and lower case letters, numbers and unique characters (such as $, *, #, @, %)
Manage your passwords with a password manager such as LastPass.
Set-up multifactor/two-factor authentication for your accounts, especially accounts that access credit cards, bank accounts or social security numbers.
Change your passwords every 90 days. Again, this is most important for accounts that have access to credit cards, bank accounts or social security numbers.
